First time owner-builder experience

Hey all,

Hope everyone's builds are going great. As I have no experience in building a home I'd love to get to know the experience of anyone who has or is currently going through the process. Where have you guys struggled? What parts of the builds cost the most? Where do you get a supply of materials? and where do you get expertise/knowledge about the build. Your experience would mean so much would be extremely helpful! Also, I'm open to having a quick chat on zoom/skype if anyone is keen (Can be audio only).
