They couldn't drop it but they will bring pt 2 tomorrow and one of the locals is going to give us a hand with traction with a big tractor Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Acerage 1st time Building S Highlands *prefab home start 284Jul 07, 2016 4:15 pm Your house is already made?!?!?! You'll be moving in in no time! Yay!!! Are you insulating underneath? Our old place was on piers and it was freezing! It does have some, and we are planning on adding subfloor insulation post completion as well Build thread http://tinyurl.com/llgc7yk Re: Acerage 1st time Building S Highlands *prefab home start 289Jul 08, 2016 5:56 pm We are holding off till Monday now for them to bring more of the house in. We've only had 15-20mm over the last few days but after the deluge a few weeks ago the ground is already soaked. It got up to 5 degrees yesterday but was -2 with the wind chill. We've already run the electrics to the house site, just need to connect all the house bits and outside lights etc, then connect at the road. We've run water near the house too, so waste needs to go to septic (amended mound) and roof to water tank and water in. Hubby will measure up for the stone for the bathroom and kitchen on the weekend, and we've still got to do the flooring and put in wardrobes, handles in kitchen & bathroom, put in the oven and sinks. Really happy with the work they've done, can't wait to finish off the build and get in.
