Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Aug 15, 2017 3:38 pm Hi Everyone! My name's John, I'm new here wasn't sure where else to ask, I hope you guys can help me. I was wondering if anyone knows how to find where cement render is on the floor plans? I know you can identify brick by the diagonal lines - is there a similar method for render? The render to the outside of the building was easy enough to spot on the elevations but there are a few spots inside that I can't identify. Thanks! Re: Reading the plans - cement render? 2Sep 26, 2017 1:25 pm No icecube2017, render is far too thin to be represented on a plan... even a 1:50 scale plan seldom done any more. Even the elevations can miss portions such as in recesses like porches, where in the good olde days, the draftsperson used to do a section to show these areas as well... not any more. Back-lining used to show that something solid was sectioned.
