All the rebates related to installing panels will have something in the fine print that tells you that it the panels remain on the property which the rebates have come from. We looked into doing this and it turns out that the rebate ends when you terminate your electricity account. It's very annoying, yes. However, as bpratt, said, technology is getting better all the time so you might be better off trading in your old system for a new one anyway. No point trying to move old stuff to save money when the new tech on the market comes a lot better in terms of efficiency and power storage options.
