Hey all you NSW'zers (oh and Canberrans too) ....
In my copy of the little information booklet that Energy Aust sent out with this quarters bill they have the following offer for customers....
6 energy efficient 35W IRC halogen downlights (apparently replacing the standard 50W halogen downlights, using 30% less power, put out less heat and last up to 5x as long) are available from their website for $59.95 - this also includes a bonus LED light and it seems like that also includes delivery as well ....
Apparently the RRP is $79.95....
So if you are an Energy Aust customer in NSW or ACT (those in QLD can also log in and get a quote) ...
No I don't work for them, never have worked for them but it sounds like something some people might be interested in
Edited to add - ok I checked out the link provided in the magazine but it doesn't work properly, but I went to the site and got the direct link for those that are interested http://checkout3.payments.com.au/energy ... sp?pID=172

Blacktown City council in Sydney is giving away 8 Free Energy Saving Light Globes to all rate payers. You have to sign a declaration commiting the carbon offset credits to the council. Not that I have fully understood what's in it for them, but I think when organisations have to offset their carbon emissions, the council will have already met part of its obligations in this manner by reducing carbon emissions in rate payers' homes.
