And it got me thinking, what are some ways that people make such an excessive holiday more Eco-friendly? I always reuse wrapping paper and also use old cards to make decorations for the house, as well as gift tags. I also avoid putting lights on the tree and don't use tinsel (since it's hard to reuse). This year, I'm thinking to use a Xmas stocking or pillow cases to wrap presents for the family. I reuse ribbon for wrapping. If you have a green thumb, you could have a living Christmas tree (but I'd struggle to keep it alive for the rest of the year!)
