Hi all
Hope someone can help me:
* We're building a new house.
* We've chosen our external colours (with Colorbond roof in Dune).
* Our DA has already been approved by our council.
* We have just done our internal colour selections.
Today, we received a "Variation to Tender" and there's one point in it that I don't understand:
"The roof on the home must be dark in colour so as to comply with NatHERS & the energy element of BASIX." (The word "must" is in bold, italics and underlined!)
Surely that is a typo?! Could Basix really want a dark roof?
I thought Dune is classified as a light colour, but my builder hasn't called me yet to say that we need to choose a different colour roof. I don't want a dark roof, so I'm scared to ask my builder.
Can anyone explain why Basix would require a dark roof?
Thanks in advance
