We are looking at fitting 1 or 2 under our house (suspended concrete slab), as we have the space, but there seems to be quite a few different type and style (bladder in frame, bladder with rigid/flexible connection etc), and wonder which has worked well. Re: Rainwater tanks - bladder tanks 3Dec 12, 2011 10:11 pm A mate of mine has used them but housed in a galvanised tank exterior and has found them to be very good, he has three tanks in total about 250,000 L in total (yes a lot of water). Went in pretty easy and have lasted 7 years thus far without problems. I am unsure how good the straight bladders are though, I imagin you would have to be careful about laying a good base for them to sit on to avoid puntures etc. Steve My building project - Hill House viewtopic.php?f=38&t=13537 Who you have in your life is more important than what you have Re: Rainwater tanks - bladder tanks 5Dec 19, 2011 7:56 pm I am planning to put in a bladder tank but haven't yet , so no practical experience to report. But seems a good use for what would otherwise be waste space. Need to have a flat base under the house to place the bladder on and wide enough spacing between stumps. Keep looking in terms of price. I could have had a frame, but got one which fitted inside a gal 3000 gal water tank which rusted out (in 8 years, so no more gal tanks for me) Works fine, and I'm very happy with it. That was always going to be a challenge and a test of patience. Full marks to your mate.
