Browse Forums Eco Living 1 Mar 31, 2011 7:25 am Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had this ClimateSmart home service done? and if so, did it save you on your power bill? At the moment, I live with my partner, we both work full time so we are here in the evening and some weekends, yet our electricity bill is $350 per quarter (with AGL), I personally thing that is just to much !! So any ways of cheaply reducing our bill will be very helpful! Re: Queenslander's - ClimateSmart Home Service 2Apr 05, 2011 10:27 am Totally worth it! Do it! The wireless power monitor is priceless. It shows you exactly what is drawing power. Even this morning for example, while having my coffee I noticed the power draw seemed unusually high (by about 40 watts). I wandered around the house and found that I had left the garage lights on! haha! Yay for the wireless monitor! But seriously - definitely worth doing, and if the electrician who visits is as helpful as mine was, he/she will give you a LOT of really helpful tips! For example, if you have a gas stove, and are using an electric kettle - go out and buy a stovetop kettle instead. Gas is far cheaper to boil water compared with a 2400watt kettle But do the home service. Definitely Building at Warner Lakes in sunny Queensland. Building with Bold Properties. I will definitely organise it when we move in! Any money saved is always a bonus!
