Browse Forums Eco Living 1 Feb 14, 2011 7:39 pm In our new home I'm wanting to install a wall oven with seperate grill and cook-top. We are planning on using a volume builder and often they install 900mm oven/cooktops in one. Part of my rationale for avoiding these is that I figure that they would use a lot more power than a std size oven. Given that a wall oven requires an oven tower (have been quoted $1200 for this) and that the speperate oven/grill/cooktop config is much more expensive, it has been pointed out that for the additional outlay (and possibly needing to by the appliances ourselves and installing then - some builders we speak to won't alter the appliance brand) we'd be halfway to putting on solar power for the additional costs. Any thoughts on this? A sales person at HN said that it costs about 50c to run the clean cycle in a pyrolitic oven, not that we were considering these but I just assumed it would be very power hungry to run. No. It's not original. Circa early to mid 90s would be my guess and maybe even as late as early 2000s 1 6633 2 4682 that will depend on the kitchen bench depth. you'll have to specify it so it allows for both the tap and the sink 1 7395 |
