The Home Technical Manual states:
The ideal orientation for living areas is within the range 15°W-20°E of true or 'solar' north. (20°W- 30°E of true north is considered acceptable).
I've just had a lady tell me we MUST build 40 degrees west of north. She followed advice from a friend and said it is fantastic. I just can't find any theory to back up her claim.
Has anyone else heard that 40 degrees west of north is the optimum orientation?
We are building 15 degrees east of north and received 6 star energy rating. I wonder how much the rating would change just by changing the orientation?
