Are there any good rules of thumb for understanding the impact of skylights and solartubes on thermal comfort and daylighting levels in houses, or do I need to model both (eg. BerPro, Velux) to understand them more?
Heaps of rules of thumb have been written about glazing & shading around the perimeter of houses, and I know skylights have problems in hot climates, so I'm trying to understand their application more.
