Browse Forums Eco Living 1 Mar 04, 2010 5:39 pm Our builder wants to charge $2500 to install extra pipes to allow the bathroom and ensuite water to be diverted to a grey water system (to be installed after handover) before rejoining the main waste. The house is single story and both bathrooms are on the same side of the house and quite close together with one room inbetween them. This seems very expensive for some pvc pipe and labour. I whole drain for a new house would be just above that on its own, so running an additional pipework then rejoining into the main seems way over the top. At that price you would be have to way it up is it really worth getting a grey water system installed at all. What type of grey water system are you looking at?
