My DW, home sick, just watched an ABC gardening program talking about composting, including the advice to crunch up egg shells, chop citrus peel, and so on. We, for example, tend to throw out watermelon rind as, unless someone takes the time to chop rather finely, it tends not to compost.
So, does anyone know of a device that we could mount in our kitchen island that would be like the garbage disposal units used in the USA that flush food waste down the sink drain, with the output going to a bucket for taking to a compost bin?
