General Information
Piney Lakes Reserve is an important place for Aboriginal people, in particular it is a special place for Aboriginal women. The Noongar people of the South West identify six distinct seasons throughout the year and ‘Kambarang’ is the Noongar season from October to November (coinciding with spring). We take great pride in recoginising the traditional owners of this land and acknowledging this vital link in our heritage by using the Noongar season names for the annual lecture series.
The 2009 Kambarang Lecture Series includes six lectures, each addressing different environmental topics. We hope you enjoy the series.
