Browse Forums Eco Living 1 Apr 03, 2009 11:14 am The state government in WA is scrapping its rain water tanks subsidy by June . I'm not sure why, it's still very dry here. I just hope to get the plumbing certificate for my tanks before the deadline. Mind you, after reading the site we would of only got $50 back on our tank which has to be at least 120,000L and will be supplying all our water. Hardly worth the effort really. First it was the solar power thing (I think WA state gov part of it got taken away which means you don't get 50% for the larger systems which could make you self sufficient - particularly country people) and now the tanks! Makes me think that the government only does these things to make them look good, once it actually starts costing them anything significant and people actually start to take it up they can it! But yes I was rather disappointed at how much rebate we would get for our $8k odd 1250000L tank that is our sole supply of water. Still anything was going to be better than nothing! That was always going to be a challenge and a test of patience. Full marks to your mate. Did you discuss the wet area near the trampoline? 16 17365 Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7128 Can a plumber put a tap on a rain water tank which is full? Tank is similar to one in photo. Cheers. 0 1668 |
