Browse Forums Eco Living Re: Rain water tanks subsidy in WA end in June 3Apr 25, 2009 9:04 pm Maya_Papaya That's a bit poor. Mind you, after reading the site we would of only got $50 back on our tank which has to be at least 120,000L and will be supplying all our water. Hardly worth the effort really. Linky: http://portal.water.wa.gov.au/portal/page/portal/WiseWaterUse/WhatProductsCanIGetARebateFor/DomesticRainwaterTanks Completely agree, such a shame, you know they start pushing all this green stuff, get incentives up and going and then when people actually start to take it up they take the incentives away. First it was the solar power thing (I think WA state gov part of it got taken away which means you don't get 50% for the larger systems which could make you self sufficient - particularly country people) and now the tanks! Makes me think that the government only does these things to make them look good, once it actually starts costing them anything significant and people actually start to take it up they can it! But yes I was rather disappointed at how much rebate we would get for our $8k odd 1250000L tank that is our sole supply of water. Still anything was going to be better than nothing! That was always going to be a challenge and a test of patience. Full marks to your mate. Did you discuss the wet area near the trampoline? 16 17361 Wow I hadn't realised things had gotten that pricey in just a couple of years since I built, that is crazy with how much land is now costing if you aren't lucky enough to… 3 7106 Can a plumber put a tap on a rain water tank which is full? Tank is similar to one in photo. Cheers. 0 1668 |
