I'm not sure I spelled that right.
Anyway, we are planning to use deciduous trees as a thermal control mechanism for our house, so that we get the appropriate amount of sun in winter and shade in summer.
But I understand that different species drop their leaves and get new ones at different times of the year, which can have a massive impact on the benefit as far as microclimate control goes.
Can anyone recommend any species suitable for Perth? Don't really care if it's native or not at this point, the important thing right now is the heating/cooling benefit for a passive solar house.
Many thanks!
