Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation Re: Which wall would you put the home theatre screen on? 9Jul 23, 2020 11:50 am We are putting in a basic professional theatre in a room similar in size to yours. Basically we are building a fake wall at Wall B, putting 3 speakers in that wall, putting the screen over the speakers so the sound comes through the screen. Ideally we would have liked to not have a bulkhead however our builder would not allow us to use conduit. This is a massive pain when trying to replace the HDMI in the future (and you will replace it as they break and also become obsolete, so what we are doing is running the HDMI, power and data cable in the bulkhead down to the front fake wall connecting to the equipment in there. So it's more of a functional thing than aesthetics. Speaker wise apart from the 3 upfront we are also having 2 beside the couch, 2 behind the couch, 2 in the ceiling in front of the couch and 2 in the ceiling behind the couch, plus 1 subwoofer so a 7.1.4 system. Should be nuts, can't wait. The last thing I would buy would be the screen, as the size of the screen is determined by the size that your projector can output and also where your seating position is. We worked on a 130 inch screen although our space could of allowed bigger but that would mean putting the projector in a different room and shining it through the wall which was not an option. Bought in Nov 21 at the height of the market (classic). Good area, atrocious floor plan. BUT has land out to the left-hand side that we can extend out on (see second… 0 9014 Thanks mate.
