After 2 false starts, a year living overseas, two more world trips and 3 years of uncertainty we are now starting the build process again - hopefully for real this time!
They also review very, very well (and I can vouch for them considering I have a pair of 902i's in one room and a pair of 916i's in another, and the clarity and detail from these babies is truly high end).
I must say those speakers look chunky...I prefer the small ones with the powerful sound. Its just my opinion well my theatre(yet to be completed) has no space for those ones I guess.
But that brand looks new, I have never heard of it before. And if you did buy them in Australia where did you find it? do they have a showroom?
Unless some new technology comes along that changes this simple fact, you cannot get a big and powerful sound from small speakers (depending on your definition of either).
Given that they are made about as well as they can be you can get a reasonable sound and perhaps even a reasonable amount of volume from small satelite speakers - if you are in a reasonably small space (one of the biggest reasons Bose Lifestyle systems gave people a good option - 20 years ago - is because these people had spaces that were too small for conventional speakers...). But if you want to fill a decent sized space with a quality, fat and powerful sound then the little sub/sat systems are simply not big enough.
Hi Rodda. I will a post a picture of my rumpus room some time later but for now I would say it's 6m X 4m. Not that big. So I guess there is only space for a sub and wall-mountable speakers. That would be the best. Yes the big ones are always powerful but I want the speakers to be small yet with big sound.
I've seen few yamaha ones....are they any good. Plus they're cheap. Im happy to spend up to $1.5k.
Ah just came to think those golf ball sized speakers by sony..haha. They're extreamely small.
I don't know probably there is space for those monsters in my house..I will see. And those speakers look great. How much did you get them for? it doesnt say on the site and plus the watts?
I'm not sure what the street price is. I got them very cheap under 2k for amp, 7 speakers and subwoofer (relative works at Yamaha). Retail for everything I bought was $4500 but no one pays retail these days.
I have all my old speakers on ebay which are still very good... Ends tonight at 8pm... do an advanced search under my seller ID of wakeboardandy13 if you are interested..
