Just a point, friends of ours have painted theirs a very dark brown - almost black, and she says it shows up all finger marks. I don't know if others have found this with theirs or it maybe just the paint she used? Another friend has a light theatre room and its just not as effective, they are thinking of repainting. This way should you ever change your mind it's easy to take down as opposed to trying to paint over a dark paint. Also it might help with the accoustics a bit more? Our room will be a bit more multipurpose so we went for a chocolate colour instead of straight black. I've had a black feature wall where I lived before and never noticed finger prints. For my theatre room I will be painting walls and ceiling a dark grey and will be having a dark grey carpet. Any dark colour will be fine. The purpose of the dark colours is to stop the light reflecting off the walls from the projector. And it also allows you to create that total dark atmosphere when watching a movie.
