Work out what you want, or may want in the future (auido, video, TV, other TV (Pay), data, whatever...) in each room. Do some reading of the threads in this forum. Then when you have something more specific to ask go for it... Re: what wires 4Sep 16, 2008 10:16 pm 2 RG6 and 2 Cat5E is the norm if your going to use StarServe to do it. Re: what wires 6Sep 18, 2008 3:06 pm There are many ways of doing this, all with varying degrees of quality (picture / sound) as well as functionality and usability.
You can pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to achieve this. Simply - the cheaper the setup, the harder it is to get everything working together and usable (the number of remotes or buttons to press to get one thing happening). Re: what wires 8Sep 22, 2008 11:00 pm 4 is too many!!
TV and foxtel are able to share the same cables so 2 max would be required for the rg6 and 2 x cat6 would also be plenty. If you wanted to be sure a third cat6 may allow some flexibility to add infra red or similar later on. |
