It was a year old Dell All in one PC running Vista 64 bit etc .. decent PC I plugged my IBM Thinkpad laptop to the same cable and was getting full 100mbps or close speeds downloading.. Eventually checked all the settings and his Nic was set to 100 full duplex and this was causing the issue .. Swapped the speeds to 100 half duplex etc and put it back to Auto Negotiate .. fixed the problem.. And if we are building a new house, do we have to ask the builder to install any conduits for surround speakers, lighting or do you guys do it once the house is ready.
