Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Jan 23, 2017 4:52 pm Looking at Clipsal website - they do provide surveillance options. Wondering if anyone has got them or know the price. OR people just skip them because they are too costly . Also, since my builder's supplier is Clipsal - will Clipsal do the cabling for future CCTVs if we ask for them at our electrical appointments? Thanks heaps! Sam Clipsal CCTV cameras anyone? 2Jan 23, 2017 7:04 pm I have no direct experience but I'm thinking Clipsal are selling a rebranded something else. I can't see them making their own. Per other post here Hikvision makes some great cameras and software, also Dahua are good too. Lots of options! I have tried a few of these including Acti, but I think HV make a great compromise between quality and price and features/software. I have one really high end HV that does auto movement tracking etc and it is seriously awesome but also very large and very expensive. Anyway I like HV the best:):) Re: Clipsal CCTV cameras anyone? 3Jan 24, 2017 9:56 am Thanks TheBigHouse. Truly appreciate your response. I am inclined towards getting it done via a sparky afterwards - looks like HV is the way to go. Clipsal CCTV cameras anyone? 4Jan 24, 2017 10:35 am Most of these IP cameras can be powered by a power over Ethernet switch so just have the builder put in network cables where you want the cameras. You need additional wiring if you want to do things like connect them to a home alarm system or use he mic functions they have. The most definitive answer to your question James is this taken from the James Hardie Axon Cladding Installation Guide - i just happen to have it… 5 21846 0 12074 It's a classic case of aesthetics subjugating function where style takes precedence over practicality. 3 10669 |
