Hey all,
We're planning a build, and I'm doing the automation. In this I thought to include a decent UPS to support the automation options and keep the home server, link, etc up during an outage.
My thoughts were that assuming we get 3 phase power we would use 2 phases for home zoning of power, spread the A/C load over those phases, keep the 3rd phase for automation/server/tech, hard-wire in a UPS between the entry of that phase into the house and the distribution of the power of that phase into power points etc.
Is this a feasible option? If so, what are good brands/models etc of appropriate UPS to look out for? As mentioned I'd like it hard-wored into the house power, and ideally I'd like it if I could access it somehow (so the home server could interact with it/query it)
