That's what I'm planning on doing. Just need an elegant way to hide the charging cable. It's not super elegant however a quick google search turned this up: http://www.slimlinewarehouse.com.au/pg/ipadstands/wall-mounted-ipad-holders.aspx?gclid=CNfg6uC8i9ICFUkAvAodLN4Ptw Home Blog: https://waldorfgrange.wordpress.com/ Re: Home Technology Hub 377Feb 13, 2017 8:25 am Why limit yourself to an in-wall device? Coz when someone rings the doorbell, you still need to get up from the sofa and look at the in-wall device (yes, I can be lazy). I've got a SIP (VoIP) enabled doorbell, which does video. I've got a SIP exchange set up, and when anyone ring the doorbell, it rings my mobile phone (even if I'm away from home, though I haven't set that bit up). I've also got to convert my house phones to SIP enabled, so it can ring those as well. Re: Home Technology Hub 378Feb 13, 2017 8:28 am trayracer Why limit yourself to an in-wall device? Yeah I think there are units which talk on wifi and then connect to a mobile tablet as the monitor. @Orph Build thread: viewtopic.php?t=78328 Home Furniture: viewtopic.php?t=80551 Technology Hub: viewtopic.php?t=83663 Landscape Design: viewtopic.php?t=80645 Orpheus Building the Metricon Glendale 38|Sydney Re: Home Technology Hub 379Feb 13, 2017 9:44 pm trayracer Why limit yourself to an in-wall device? Just as long as you have an internet connection and the app, you can see who's at the door from anywhere. Have used it a few times when the courier came to drop something off and i was not home. Just told him to leave at the door because I cant get to it right now.
