We seem to pay over the odds for products here in Australia and it frustrates me no end. All is not lost however as I have now found the Berkline product available here in Australia and luckily enough the importer is based here in Melbourne, the downside is that they are only available through Havery (take your tub of KY) Norman. Interestingly enough they are only trialing them at the new Springvale store (where Ikea is) and if you didn't know where in the store they were there you wouldn't find them. Luckily enough I dealt with someone who works at the store who also works for the importer, win win! In the end I purchased 7 units, yes they can be combined or individual and they cost roughly $1300 a pop, not bad considering the LP Morgan units are going for approx $2K a pop. Obviously the more you buy the bigger the discount so please do not think that you will get them for the same price as I did. I appreciate that not all of you want the higher end products due to budgets or wives that will kick you a$$ from here too the moon and back, but I thought I might as well give you the heads up of another option that I haven't seen mentioned here. Good Luck in your search. Cheers, Chris Re: Home theatre seats 72May 18, 2013 7:04 pm I've just been googling for seats to suit my future home theatre. This looks to be pretty good value for money if you're in Sydney: http://www.loungeincomfort.com.au/info/lounges/boston-theatre.html Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Current price starts at $699 for a double-seater in fabric. The same in leather is $999. The lead time is 6-7 weeks as they make them to order. That's not too bad since there is a significant level of customisation in number of seats, centre consoles, etc. Build thread: here Land Nov 12, Contract 6/07/13, Consent 15/08/13, Start 20/09/13, Slab 25/09/13, Frame 4/10/13, Brick 21/10/13, Roof 2/11/13, Lock-up 17/12/13, Handover 3/3/14 Re: Home theatre seats 73May 18, 2013 7:22 pm very nice indeed. i would be keen to see what they are like in the flesh. i would want to see the finish but the price is very very reasonable. Has any one been able to find these type of seats in Melbourne. Regards Re: Home theatre seats 79Mar 09, 2014 10:01 am I guess you could call them and find out if they have a stockist in Melbourne. I've just setup on of their modulars and very happy with it. I did try out the home theatre seats in the store and will eventually place an order once I get my home theatre equipment setup.
