I like the idea however does heat play a part in this if the NBN components get hot? 'It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.' Re: NBN Enclosure ... The item in the top right is a device that converts Fiber to copper. It then runs to the termination points which in turn should run to the switch on the left. I would suggest contacting a licenced data cabler. Re: NBN Enclosure ... Both sides are fibre, it then goes into the NBN box, called the NTD in the middle which 'converts' fibre to copper. Actually it does a lot more than that, but keep it simple. Anyway from here on it is the customers equipment, which could be into a switch, wifi router etc, neither of which need to be installed in this cabinet. Note these days they don't do the fibre termination socket, instead they come in behing the NTD and terminate the fibre direct. Re: NBN Enclosure ... Have any one done this . 14Aug 10, 2015 11:21 pm No point, the NTD does not need to take up space in any sort of enclosure unless you are doing it for the looks.
