Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Mar 30, 2015 6:02 pm Starting to stress that I am going to miss important items during construction and the Theatre Room has been on my mind today. I will have a large screen TV mounted to the wall with any other components (Bluray, Game consoles, etc etc) stored away in a cabinet below. My question is..... Do I need to pre-wire for things like surround speakers or are systems like Sonos the way of th future? Are wireless systems any match for a high end wired system? Re: Does Sonos Replace Normal Surround System? 2Mar 30, 2015 10:04 pm My opinion is wired is always better. No batteries to change, I believe better performance, no chance of interference etc. No doubt wireless stuff is probably pretty good these days though, but I would prefer wired. That's what I'm going to have in mine room, I'll put in wall plates at rough in stage to run speaker wire etc so it's neat Re: Does Sonos Replace Normal Surround System? 3Mar 30, 2015 11:12 pm Yeah that's what I'm thinking as well. make life easy later if it's all there ready to use. We have roughly 500mm wide garden bed around the edge of our pool. Depth of the bed is only around 250-300mm to top… 0 3865 ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7741 |
