Got my new Panasonic plasma which takes a myriad of inputs but being a brand spanka one of them is HDMI.
I've got a Topfield set-top box which has HDMI out, a DVD player with HDMI out, and a Dvico TVix which has component out but not HDMI. The plasma will be mounted above a fireplace (with a deep mantle) and therefore to minimise the cabling I want to run all the AV gear into a switch with a single HDMI output to the plasma....therefore the only cable going to the plasma is power and HDMI cable.
Problem is after a few days of trawling through the www I can't seem to find a switch that will take a couple or more of HDMI's and a component input and give me a single HDMI out.
Do I have to go down the path of a component to HDMI converter into a 4:1 HDMI switch and then onto the Plasma......of course the other option is a new HDMI Dvico.....but that's more $.
Am I not looking hard enough......?
