Speaker Wire Size?

Page 1 of 1
Quick question;

On the weekend we are running wire for our home theatre before they install plaster. We've been told we can do speaker wire as well as some other pre planning however I'm not sure what size speaker wire to use. Its only the rear speakers we are running for a few rooms so is .7mm speaker wire fine or do we need more like 1.2mm?

Like I said only powering rear speakers, over about a 10/15m run at most.

Advice appreciated asap!

Cheers, Met.
Hi,

I'd say 16G or 1.2-1.3 mm
