We are utilising our Sitting Room as a multi function living area with a 5.1 Speaker Configuration running from a 7.1 Receiver as we will also have 2 In ceiling speakers mounted in our Alfresco area (Zone 2).
5.1 will comprise Floor Standing Fronts (with usual Center and SW) and then In Ceiling for the rears.
At frame stage we intend to install flexible or corrugated conduit in preparation for the cable/speaker runs after Handover.
Curious as to recomendation as to an effective way to manage the cables.
For example, for the In Ceiling speakers was considering using a speaker Wall Mount to feed the wiring from Receiver to Wall Plate to In Ceiling speakers.
To maintain a tidy appearance was contemplating the same theory to the two main fronts and SW but given their proximity to the Receiver it is a bit Overkill. Be nice to hide the cables under the carpet somehow when that is laid. We will have no means to change room configuration given the TV will be wall mounted in a Recess that starts 850mm above floor level so we are not concerned with the permancy of the wiring location.
Looks like Selby acoustics or Cable Connection stock all the products I will need once I have determined the best strategy.
Apart from the speaker wire we will also be running appropriate Data Cable to a centralised router to the Receiver which again would likely need to be managed via a wall plate of some sort.
Am sure there is a multi functional wall plate that will meet the needs once I have confirmed the plan of attack.
Appreciate any recomendations or suggestions re an effective way to manage speaker wires if contrary to our thoughts above
Cheers
