My dad brought a set of bass acoustic speakers a few years back. They are ok speakers but he is looking to retire and get rid of these speakers and just have a small HT system attached to the TV. Anyway, he is looking to sell the old set as they have hardly been used, but when I was googling them to get an idea for a price, I can not find them anywhere. There were a few stories about them potentially being part of a scam that was in play in the mid 2000's where people were selling these out of the back of the car, but these seem to be pretty nice sounding speakers. There are 5 satelitte speakers (i guess one is supposed to be a center) and a sub woofer.
Can anyone shed any light on the history of these speakers?
