Vanderlay raised a good question about the height of the unit - the photo is a bit misleading but the main viewing position, so the couch that faces the TV will be about 5.5 metres away. The mantle piece is about the same height as the door furniture and then the TV may be mounted either on the mantle piece (although I'd rather it was fixed to the wall) or say 3 or 4 bricks above (300 mm +). For a 42" to 50" plasma does this create an issue with viewing angle? Also any comments on the Topfield 7000PVRt, mainly is it as robust as the 5000PVRt which I currently have. Appreciate any comments..... mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Difference between FULL HD and HD? 24Apr 12, 2008 11:02 am Hi again.
People are often restricted by the layout of their place, as you appear to be here. ie, if not above the fireplace, where would you put it? We've mounted plasmas over fireplaces before. In the end it's up to you. As far as Topfield PVRs go, we haven't had much experience with them. We actually prefer the Dvico TVX 4130 as a PVR and network media player... Thanks for the advice..will investigate the Dvico...actually have a 2 yo Dvico TViX which I'm happy with which is just a media player not a PVR. Set up for jukebox, AVI's, and various media, and offers transportability. mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Hi Kristy Around $1.7-1.8m or around $4,600/sqm. if you PM me your email I will send you a break up in a spreadsheet so you can get an understanding of the costs for… 1 9956 The engineering is the engineering.
