Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Oct 26, 2012 1:07 pm Hi All I have been in my house for 18 months now and it is time to setup the home theatre. The HT is 4.8m (L) x 4.2m (W). I have a 100" projector screen and that is all. I have a budget of $4000. I want a projector(prefer 3D) roof mounted, AV Receiver (prefer 3D) 7.1ch Multi room, front, centre and SW free standing, rear speakers will be in-ceiling. I will also need a networked media player that can tune in TV signal. Your input/suggestions would be appreciated. Re: Help me deck out my home theatre 2Oct 27, 2012 7:33 am I think $4k is a not enough for the shopping list you're after. If you are to stick to your budget I'd forgo the ceiling speakers and buying individual components and purchase a A/V 5.1 (very little content is 7.1) speaker & amp package from someone like Yamaha for $1800-$2000 and a reasonable quality projector for $1200 - $1500. That will leave you enough cash for the media streaming box, cabling and brackets. Good luck with it. ----------------------------------------------- http://pab34newdigs.blogspot.com.au/ ----------------------------------------------- Help me deck out my home theatre 3Oct 27, 2012 11:12 am Epson tw6000 projector normally sold in shops $2800 on eBay new $1500 full 3d hd etc Harvey Norman clearance centres normally have a range of receivers and speakers ex display stuff. Personally I would go a model higher and get the 8100. Re: Help me deck out my home theatre 6Oct 30, 2012 1:20 pm Pros Cheap Has lens shift Great zoom and throw ratio Cons Doesn't do 3d Only 1800 lumens (room will need to be very dark or you will get a washed out picture) 20,000:1 contrast ratio (very ordinary blacks) The tw3200 is now 2 generations behind the latest Epson models. Check out the tw6000w from the Cable Connection http://www.thecableconnection.com.au/Ep ... Stock.html Wireless HDMI so you won't have to do a cable run through the ceiling, 3D capable, decent contrast and 2200 lumens (which will come in useful when watching 3d).
