In our new living area for the kids, I'd like to mount some speakers into the ceiling for a basic theatre set up but I'm not sure if it would work due to the angle of the ceiling.. So sitting in front of the TV the ceiling starts @ 2400mm on the right and rakes up to 3600mm on the left, which would mean the left speaker is roughly 1000mm higher than the right. Our A/V installer said the speakers will be gimbal mounted and the height difference will not be a problem. In basic terms you tell the amp the distance to the speaker and it calculates when to play the sound to each speaker to make it hit your ear at the same time. Most amps on the market >$500 have a feature such as this!
