Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Oct 07, 2012 12:52 pm We were going to go for a MATV setup for the distribution of austar, digital tv , telephone and and data. We have cables run to all rooms, but want a hub of sorts.... However some people have suggested a matchmaster and not an matv.. What suggestions do you all have.? Tv wise - would need at least 2 in ( satellite for austar and digital tv) and 11 out ( or if less then we would just need to repatch as not all rooms would be using it at once anyway) we have run rg6 to all rooms - we dont use any austar recording devices - just a pvr. Thinking of the MATCHMASTER 21MM-MSV512 - but not sure if that does standard digital tv or just pay tv? Also and IR link would be good...(MATV has that) Telephone / data - we have a telephone line in to the building and have run 1 and sometimes 2 cat5/6 cables to all rooms - so we want to be able to patch these to be either phone or data.... so looking at a distribution hub of some kind. We have an adsl wireless router for broadband (this is in the office in a seperate building 20 metres from the distribution area in the house) This is not a big "smart" install - just basic, but we do have A BUS for audio to the smaller rooms and 7 to 1 in the lounge and media rooms. We also have a bosch 16+ alarm system and a seperate video intercom system. Any suggestions etc....budget is getting tight and we would prefer not to have lots of seperate boxes.....
