I want to wire my house also for audio, but i was told that i have to know what audio system i will use/purchase first...
Is that true?
I cannot use a typical wire? I want it to be as simple as possible!

Some systems have a central amplifier for the whole house while other systems have an amplifier in each room. Systems like the Bose Acoustimass need you to wire all of the channels from the amplifier to the sub-woofer and then out from the sub-woofer to each speaker. Other systems wire directly to the speakers and don't have a sub-woofer or a single connection to the sub woofer. So there can be a few variations. My preferred option is the room based amplifier with a local source such as an Apple Airport Express or Sonos system.
