Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 May 30, 2011 4:11 pm Hi All We are looking at getting one of these all in one HT systems for the living area TV. I like the LG 906 (not on the LG website yet) as we have a 3D LG TV to connect it too. Does anyone have an opinion on these all in one HT Systems in general? The salesman that we talked to did not like them and reckons they only last a year or 2. Apparently they get too hot?? cheers Re: LG Home theatre system - opinions 2May 30, 2011 4:26 pm Audiophiles will also tell you that the sound quality is rubbish too, but for the run o' the mill user, any of these Home Theatre In A Box systems is going to provide a better audio experience than the stereo speakers in your TV. As for the LG specifically, I don't know the longevity of it or anything, but it'd be pretty shocking if it only lasts 2 years. Obviously there are interconnectivity benefits when you choose the same manufacturer as your TV, so that's going in your favour. I'd suggest looking up specific models on google and look for some reviews. Obviously you're more likely to get negative comments than positives, but if there are mountains of bad feedback it gives you an idea not to go there!! Good luck.
