Read in another thread about someone getting Fuxtell installed at home, and it made me think of this....
I do some water damage restoration as part of my job.
A month ago, a nice old couple had bought a new Sony TV, Panasonic DVD player, and a beaut new cabinet to house it all. They then had the Fuxtell man come to wire them up. The idiot drilled right into a water pipe in the wall, and sprayed the whole lot with water!
Talking to other restorers subsequently, this ain't an isolated case. Have heard of a lot of similar cases. Many of their installers are apparently pretty much untrained, and may not know what they are doing.
Insurance covered restoration here, including carpet replacement. You might be wise to oversee the installation if you are thinking about it.
Ash.
