Hey texperts!
Our house is currently under construction and I want to get the home network set up before the plaster goes on to save hassles later.
Ideally I want to run 5 cables each to 5 Ethernet port wall plate in the lounge and theatre (for TV, PS3, Xbox, Media Player etc), 2 cables to a double plate in the master bedroom and one each to the other two bedrooms. All of these will then run back to the study to connect to the router, thus giving me wired access in each of those areas. Does this sound about right?
I'm just wondering how I then set this up in the study...?
Can I get a 14 port wall plate or something for all of these cables to run to? Then how do I connect all of these from the wall to the router when most routers I have seen have nowhere near 14 ports on the back?
Anyone who knows what they are talking about have any advice? I've got the best intentions but only basic networking knowledge
Cheers gang,
