Re: iPad connectivity question 44Nov 19, 2010 2:58 pm facebook don't have an official ipad app yet.. you can use the iphone app on there but it is a bit blurry.. best to just use the website in safari for now.. hopefully zuckerberg makes an ipad version soon! Re: iPad connectivity question 46Nov 19, 2010 6:15 pm I didn't think I saw an official one on there when I looked earlier. so do you use the iphone one on your ipad machiars? will just look at it in safari for now, thanks want to download the herald-sun app they've released today too, they were talking about it on the radio this morning. sounds good. Re: iPad connectivity question 49Nov 19, 2010 7:53 pm The herald sun app is crap.. full of massive ads.. not worth it for 7.99 a month.. not really much more there than the web site.. pressreader is a better app, you just download the whole paper.. for $10 a month you get 31 issues of newspapers from around the world.. I pretty much only use it for the Herald Sun and occasionally the age.. but it is better than the crappy herald sun app that is full of ads. Re: iPad connectivity question 50Nov 19, 2010 8:10 pm oh ok, cool thanks for that andy! won't do that one then. any other cool ones you'd recommend? Re: iPad connectivity question 52Nov 19, 2010 8:16 pm ok cool... guess it doesn't matter if i don't use twitter..? Re: iPad connectivity question 56Nov 19, 2010 9:46 pm donuts can I download flash onto it? it doesnt seem to be liking it. also cant seem to do facebook chat on it? also, how do I have two internet windows open at the same time, and how can i switch between them? (have never used a mac before) you can't do flash on ipad/iphone.. steve jobs doesn't like it.. also facebook chat you can't do in safari.. there is an app that is not bad for facebook called "friendly" that will let you do chat. And to change windows in safari press the button up the top left of the screen next to the right arrow. Re: iPad connectivity question 57Nov 19, 2010 9:59 pm thanks andy!!! I've finished app shopping for now. downloaded some freebies including flipboard, and will think on a sat nav one I liked the look of, but its $25. not really that handy if it's only wifi anyway really. just bought sgt pepper's on itunes plus a couple of others that I needed to re-purchase after losing/scratching the cds... really need to go to bed but will prob stay up and play with it a little bit longer. if anyone else has any good ipad apps I'd love to know them! Re: iPad connectivity question 58Nov 19, 2010 10:03 pm Yeah the wifi only ipad doesn't have a gps chip in it so no point buying the navigation app.. The beatles catalogue was only added to itunes a few days ago.. I've already got all the remastered songs so I didn't need to buy them. Re: iPad connectivity question 59Nov 19, 2010 10:31 pm yes I saw it was only new! a question on that - can I listen to my music in the background and still do other stuff? I guess it comes down to not using a mac again... I can't find the minimise button!!! lol. I've been told that once I get my new phone (either iphone or samsung galaxy) I'll be able to hook up the ipad to it and run the internet off that (even if its the samsung) so the sat nav might come in handy then. I've been told that once I get my new phone (either iphone or samsung galaxy) I'll be able to hook up the ipad to it and run the internet off that (even if its the samsung) so the sat nav might come in handy then. the ipad is not really anything like a mac.. completely different operating system.. To minimise all you do is press the home button.. the button down the bottom of the screen. Even with internet connected a sat nav app won't work as it doesn't have a gps chip in it.. it is the gps chip that makes the sat nav work not the internet. But yes you can use the samsung galaxy as a mobile wifi device and connect your ipad to it. Hey I just purchased an apple ipad to use on site. If you are using an ipad on site, I was wondering what you all are using for construction related apps to make site… 0 1298 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 4419 You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want.
