More likely $200-300 than $50. The old 300 ohm ribbon was fairly strong, if you're lucky it may make for a good draw wire. Better still, have a look at your antenna and see whats running off the antennas connector. This will save you having to tear stuff off the wall. The old HPM 889 series power outlet is around 40 years old, whilst the sparkie is there a replacement could be done-saves a second trip. Were you able to replace the socket with a new one? How much did it cost you? Should my landlord pay for the cost? Thanks. Does it no longer function? In which case it wouldn't be un-reasonable to expect the landlord to replace it. If it is still functional then why does it need to be replaced? If you are in a unit, then it is likely that the body corporate is responsible for the antenna cabling, rather than the land lord directly. With the pending end of analog TV transmission there are a large number of unit blocks that are going to have to replace/upgrade their antenna systems and cabling to support digital UHF transmission.
