Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation Re: Replacing old TV aerial socket 7Oct 12, 2011 3:15 pm AJW strathos Hi, I have the same problem in my unit. Were you able to replace the socket with a new one? How much did it cost you? Should my landlord pay for the cost? Thanks. Does it no longer function? In which case it wouldn't be un-reasonable to expect the landlord to replace it. If it is still functional then why does it need to be replaced? If you are in a unit, then it is likely that the body corporate is responsible for the antenna cabling, rather than the land lord directly. With the pending end of analog TV transmission there are a large number of unit blocks that are going to have to replace/upgrade their antenna systems and cabling to support digital UHF transmission. Paul Hi, we live in an area where the black soil is prone to a lot of movement. We have an old 50's house with masonite everywhere and nails popping out, warping, rusted etc.… 0 4510 2 8359 Yes, get a builder, make sure he is experienced and a registered building practitioner 5 8963 |
