Most retail outlets (even reputable electronic enthusiast stores) will rip you off silly on the price of per metre speaker cable. *My personal opinion only, I am not in any way affiliated with Selby Re: Ceiling Speaker Advice 5Aug 17, 2010 6:44 pm Budget is $400 - 600 for speakers and wire - excluding stereo, hifi and lounge wall, centre and surrond speakers. This would hopefully do 3 Rooms + outdoor patio, all on seperate zones and volume controls. Is this feasible. Longest run would be approximately 20-25m Really I have no idea on budget. Re: Ceiling Speaker Advice 6Aug 19, 2010 12:34 pm Dr Who This would hopefully do 3 Rooms + outdoor patio, all on seperate zones and volume controls. Most multi-zone AVRs will do 2 - some at the very high end will do 3 zones. You will need to look at a stand-alone multi-zone audio (or even a full home automation) system to be able to support 3 rooms + outdoor patio... or even a multi-channel AMP (one of these will blow a large hole in your budget). It depends on what you really want to achieve, how many $$ you have all up and what your priorities are.
