Mine had no issue what so ever. I told him (not asked told) in the negotiation stage that I would do data, security, video cabling as well as doing C-bus installation. When time came to do a time scale I gave him a rough indication of how long it would take, he advised me when the place was ready to be cabled and ready for fit off. He even advised how I should mark the plaster if I cocked up so it could be fixed by his plasterer. Having said that I am a licenced cabler, but he never asked for that nor seemed to care less and it never came up in any discussion. The only thing he was nervous about was ensuring I didn't drill through a roof truss. Not sure if it made a difference but the way my build was structured I owned the land and contracted him to build the house, as opposed to me agreeing to buy a house that he would build to my specification.
