One is straight through the other goes at 90' in the wall. The theory being you buy two of these and put a patch cable in the wall to join the two. Re: HDMI extension with wall plate 4Jul 06, 2010 10:49 am I have had some personal experience with these things and so far am not happy with them (basically I ran two lengths of Cat5E (yes, they are supposed to work with Cat5E, not just Cat6) and used 3 different types of these things and simply could not get it to work). I think the first rule is if the 2 lengths of cable are not EXACTLY the same length (and I mean to the cm) the you could have potential problems.
