It depends on when you plan to use the speakers, how loud, and whether or not you care enough about some sound transfering above to stop you putting the In-ceilings in... People use In-ceiling speakers where ever they want sound but want the least visible speakers in the room (excluding 'Stealth' speakers, but I'm not a wrap for them...). Mostly used for 'multi-room' systems they tend not to be used all that loud. Sometimes they are used as surround speakers in Home Cinema (effectively) but these too will not be asked to produce as loud a sound as the front speakers (surround speakers pretty much never get used anywhere near as much as the front 3 speakers). Only if you plan on using them as the front speakers in a Home Cinema system (which I personally put quite low on my list of recommendations...) and plan on rocking the room will they clearly pass a possibly annoying amount of sound up through the ceiling/floor into the room above, more noticably than if you were using other types of speakers in that Cinema... In-ceilings are great for outdoor use (if you have a ceiling to mount them in), as good as 'outdoor' speakers. You can really use anything you want the main consideration would be how it looks once painted/finished - or the look you want. Cabinetmakers use MDF because its cheap… 2 9960 I would say both styles you have pictured are steel. The lower chord of the first pic would be a massive lump if made using timber considering the size of the rafters. If… 1 6151 1 13125 |
