Due to room design (windows in the way) which was needed to give the front of the house a good look my surround speakers will be mounted at about 2.4 meters (on a 2.7 ceiling). My back surrounds (going 7.1) will be the same.
What is the best way of dealing with this, wall mounted speakers angling down to the ears or in wall? Bi directional or straight?
Any thoughts and advice would be good. for the four speaker I would not want to spend too much. $1000 would be nice $2000 at a push. My surround I currently use are Eltax HT-2 Biploar and I would not want anything less quality (but they are probably rubbish by modern standards).
