I'm not sure whether or not you can run speakers with Cat cabling. We had our speaker cabling installed by a cabler, not electrician. But if you are building a single storey house, then you can easily run the speaker wire in the roof yourself once you take possesion of the house. I only got it prewired as we went double storey. In regards to running 2 zones on one unit, according to the Sonos manual it can handle it. The only downside of this is both zones have to play the same music and at the same volume. I plan to upgrade later down the track but for now it will do. Thats right speaker cable is different to cat 5/6 cable and is more expensive than it to just to clarify.
